Project Description

The intermediate urban design forms the central business hub of Midstream, it accommodates a retail component, office component and service station. Support is given to the retail component by the Midstream College which accommodates some 1800 learners. The start up of the Retail component was a challenge as retail developments in an estate environment does not have a good track record in South Africa. Testimony of good design, correct tenant mix and management is that the Spar anchor needed to be expanded twice in the centre’s short history. The second expansion to the Spar has recently been completed to the latest of cutting edge standard.
