Project Description

This project required expansion to an existing school to create six new classrooms. The design repeats strong architectural elements of the existing buildings including predominantly white facades, strong geometry offset by planted screens, elegant concrete accents and vivid colours. In addition to the new classrooms the expansion provides a central courtyard designed to serve as an outdoor teaching area – thus creating a lively “indoor- outdoor” exchange throughout the building and increasing useable space. Additional administrative offices and a specialised media room – which houses a library, computer centre, music room and a science laboratory complete this project.
